      <description>Any tips for teachers who barely make enough money to pay their student loans?  After all the deferments used, this is getting a little discouraging. More and more teachers I know have to live with family just to survive!</description>

      <description>My wife has been a special education teacher for 5 years. We thought she qualified for the student loan forgiveness of 17k. However, we learned that because she started her loans before Oct 1, 1998 (2 months early), she doesn't qualify for that program. What a bummer.</description>
