Many people do not realize that employers have to pay withholding as well. Depending on the amount of state payroll tax the actual amount an employer pays in payroll taxes could be a considerable amount. Pay raises are much more expensive than you would think. I normally claim 0 deductions. I do this so i do not have to pay taxes at the end of the year. That is just my prepference.
